While air conditioning will always be the most effective and reliable way to stay cool, there are also ways to stay cool without relying on running the air conditioning system full time. Crown Power know better than anyone that staying cool is the key to staying comfortable, so during a scorching summer we are currently experiencing in Queensland, here are some timely reminders to help you stay cool without always depending on your AC system.
What to look for when selecting bedroom air conditioning?
Bedroom air conditioning must be quiet. In the still of the night, noisy air conditioners are at the least very annoying and can hinder a good night’s sleep.
Check the noise ratings of the brands that you are considering. Go for a brand with 5 fan speed settings and if you are sensitive to noise select a brand with indoor quiet mode. Top of the range brands like Daikin will have a DB sound rating of less than 20db on low fan speed and indoor quiet mode.
I look pretty cute but I am one of the biggest causes of air conditioners to break down. You see I like very warm places to snuggle into so I find sleeping on the electronic printed circuit board very comfortable. The only problem is that my body causes the printed circuit board to short circuit (fail) and ends my life prematurely. Not good for your air conditioner (repair cost around $500) and of course not good for me. I am going to let you into a little secret. I hate the smell of moth balls and I hate the smell of lanolin and I am not a fan of rVicks Vapour Rub.
The air return filter on a ducted air conditioning system requires regular cleaning.
For parents, creating the perfect environment in which their young child is calm and comfortable is no doubt at the forefront of their mind, especially in the early stages where a good night’s sleep for their baby also means a good night’s sleep for the parents.2
